Viele Fahrer tauschen die original Ventilkappen gegen Custom Ventilkappen aus, um die Optik ihres Zweirads zu verbessern, tatsächlish haben die kleinen Kappen aber natürlich auch eine echte Funktion: Sie schützen die Ventile vor Schmutz, Staub und Feuchtigkeit und damit auch vor Oxidation. Ist das Ventil verstopft oder verrostet, kann es nicht mehr richtig abdichten und ihr verlieren an Luftdruck.
