Sprocket Derbi Euro 2 / Euro 3 / Euro 4
Motoforce replacement sprockets for Derbi engines, available in various sizes.
As a rule of thumb, smaller sprockets improve acceleration, while larger ones increase top speed. We recommend to gradually test which ratio best suits your needs.
This sprocket is suitable for chains type 420 and should be fitted together with a new suitable chain set for reasons of longevity.
The sprockets from Motoforce have 4 holes and can therefore be used with both Euro 2 and Euro 3 / 4; the two versions differ in the way the locking plate is attached.

FunCtion of front procket
The front sprocket of a motorcycle is an essential part of the chain drive. It is attached directly to the output of the gearbox and is connected to the rear sprocket via a chain.
How can I tell if the sprocket is worn?
A worn or damaged sprocket may show signs such as metallic rattling noises, worn teeth, a loose chain, or difficulty shifting gears.

- Smaller front sprocket → improved acceleration
- Larger front sprocket → higher top speed
You also have to consider the gear ratio between rear chainring and front sprocket. The calculation is: number of teeth of rear sprocket / number of teeth of front spocket. A low ratio increases speed, while a high ratio improves acceleration.
To ensure optimal life, it is important that you do not neglect chain care, we recommend a special chain brush.
