Torque Driver

The torque driver, or rear pulley, is part of the CVT and is connected to the variator at the front via the V-belt.

We stock sport / tuning torque drivers and OEM-quality replacements for all popular scooters such as Yamaha Aerox, Piaggio Zip and Typhoon, Peugeot Kisbee and Ludix, and many other models. To ensure reliable quality, we offer well-known brands: Polini, Stage6, Malossi, Motoforce, Motoforce Racing, Stage6 R/T, Top Performances...

Function of the torque driver

The torque driver (rear) acts as the counterpart to the variator (front). While the drive belt moves outward on the variator, it moves inward between the pulley halves on the torque driver. When starting, the belt runs on the outside here; as speed increases, it moves toward the center, allowing for a taller gear ratio for higher top speeds.

Tuning: Oversize CVT

Just like with the variator, there are various tuning options for the torque driver → optimized slopes, adjustable guide tracks, surfaces with improved grip, and oversize versions.

Note: An oversize torque driver must be used with a corresponding oversize variator and a matching V-belt. It is recommended to choose a complete CVT kit to avoid compatibility issues.
