Polini has adapted their successful For Race exhausts for use on 50cc 2-stroke supermoto and enduro bikes, here in the high-mount version for Fantic XE / XM from 2021 (Euro 5).

Performance Profile Polini For Race 2
The For Race for 50cc geared mopeds is a high-mount exhaust routed upward, as typically found on off-road bikes. The sound has a racing character, and performance is improved across the entire RPM range. Torque and acceleration are enhanced, higher RPMs receive a noticeable boost, and top speed is increased.
The exhaust is suitable for 50cc stock engines as well as 50cc to 70cc sport and racing setups. It is not recommended for high-end configurations.

Polini For Race
The For Race series from Polini includes exhausts as well as crankshafts and clutches for scooters, 50cc supermotos and Vespas. Although the name sounds like ultra-high-quality and high-performance racing parts, this is not quite true.
The exhausts are not road-legal and are theoretically only intended for use on the race track, but due to their performance, which focuses mainly in the lower and medium RPM range, they are more suitable for sports / entry level tuning setups, which are appreciated for their balanced ratio of performance and reliability for everyday use.
The crankshafts are also suitable for sports cylinders, as are the few For Race clutches.
Polini fans looking for maximum power for the racetrack should therefore opt for the Evolution or even the P.R.E. series.

The exhaust has a major influence on the performance of scooters and mopeds. By replacing the original with a tuning exhaust, you can improve the gas flow and increase the engine power.

- The headpipe or header is the connection between cylinder and exhaust, and an exhaust gasket provides the necessary seal. In street-legal systems, the headpipe is equipped with a legally required restriction. Some people remove this restrictor to increase power.
- The actual exhaust body or expansion chamber is connected to the header pipe. In a classic 2-stroke expansion chamber type exhaust, gas pressure waves are used to improve engine performance.
- At the end there us the silencer or muffler that discharges the exhaust gases and, with the help of damping wool, also reduces the noise generated by the vehicle.
Replacing the exhaust
As a general rule, please check if the exhausts fits BEFORE REMOVING THE RESTRICTOR, otherwise the exhaust cannot be returned.
For 2-stroke engines, various settings and components usually need to be adjusted when the original exhaust is replaced with a tuning version. These changes include:
- Adjusting the carburetor by replacing the main jet.
- Upgrading the clutch or replacing the clutch springs.
- For scooters, it may be necessary to reduce the weight of the variator weights.
