Standard exhaust systems are designed so that the power is relatively early. This means in reverse, in the upper range, the power curve flattens further. This is also the reason why harder Clutch springs and lighter Weights are installed in the Vario to move the shifting point further back. So that you get back into the range of optimum torque.
