Gilera Runner VXR 180 - General information

The Gilera Runner 180 VXR is the successor to the Gilera Runner FXR 180. The biggest change was the switch from a 2-stroke engine to a 4-stroke engine. There were also a few technical and visual changes, but on the whole the familiar appearance was retained. It is still a very popular and well-known model when it comes to maxi scooters. Its eye-catching design with the trellis frame has not been changed.

This model is also available as a 125cc version and was even upgraded to 200cc from 2003 with a completely new design.

Gilera Runner 180cc engine

The Gilera Runner 180 VXR is powered by a liquid-cooled 4-stroke engine and has a displacement of 180cc. The large scooter is equipped with a Keihin carburetor. Like all modern scooters, the transmission consists of a CVT with V-belt to simplify operation in city traffic and ensure good acceleration.

Gilera Runner VXR 180 - Chassis

The Gilera Runner VXR 180 4-stroke is equipped with a telescopic fork at the front and 2 adjustable shock absorbers at the rear. The braking system consists of disc brakes with a diameter of 220 mm at the front and rear, which have a good stopping power even at high speeds. The 12-inch wheels contribute to the maneuverability. The Runner is also suitable for taller riders who, unlike many comparable scooters, do not feel cramped.
