High-quality racing variators
The CVT plays an important role in the engine's revving. Therefore, it is recommended to rely on proven and compatible products to achieve smooth, continuous power transmission that passes maximum power to the rear wheel and thus improves performance.
Within the Malossi Overrange series, there is the Malossi MHR Team 2 variator for scooters with Piaggio engines, the MHR 2005 for Minarelli, and the new MHR aluminum for Minarelli and C-One / RC-One engines. To make optimal use of the power, MHR variators use 19x15.5 mm CVT rollers, which facilitate tuning. The movable pulley with a 101 mm diameter is made of a special aluminum alloy, die-cast and diamond-machined to ensure a constant friction coefficient and avoid belt slip. This ensures consistently high performance. The new ramp angle improves revving and pull. Developed for heavily tuned engines, this CVT is aimed at high-performance setups.
The Malossi MHR Team variator is considered the ultimate overrange variator. It is available for Piaggio and Gilera engines and is based in design and materials on the 2005 racing version. The main difference lies in the diameter: 22 mm instead of 20 mm for the 2005 model. As a result, the V-belt sits more firmly against the pulleys and runs slightly higher, which improves power transmission to the rear wheel and further increases performance.
