Description
With a higher gear ratio the front sprocket rotates the rear wheel further for every rotation, improving top speed at high RPMs. As a matter of course, this kind of transmission requires a powerful engine to pull it, 20hp minimum.
Available with different gear ratios.
Pre-pressed / ready-to-install.
Scooter gearbox
The transmission of scooters and some mopeds is located in a case behind the clutch and torque driver and has the function of reducing rpm and ultimately driving the wheel axle.
The transmission of a scooter has a direct influence on top speed. If the engine develops enough power and torque at low rpm, you can choose a longer gear ratio to achieve a higher top speed without any noticeable loss in acceleration.
Please note: if you don't have a press, better choose pre-assembled gears!
