Description
Speedo cable with union nut at both ends, as it is usually used with models built since 2005. Before ordering, please check how your current cable is fitted to the drive and how the end bit of the inner cable looks (square or with a slot). This cable has square bits at both sides (see picture!). There are also 2 other types of speedo cables available.
NOTE: Please also measure the length of your speedo cable; there may be variations for newer models. The length of this cable is 930mm, but you can also use it if your original cable is shorter.
Speedometer cable for scooters and motorcycles
The failure of the speedometer fails can have several reasons:
Sometimes the speedometer itself is defective, but in most cases it is due to a broken speedometer cable or a defective speedometer drive.
The function of the speedo cable is to transmit the rotation of the wheel to the speedo pointer. One end of the cable is clamped into the speedometer screw and can rotate freely inside its sleeve.
