Small end bearing Stage6 HighQuality Silver. Very high-quality silver piston pin bearings from Stage6, available for many popular engines. The best we could find on the market.
The bearing cage is silver-plated, providing improved emergency running properties and reduced wear. The original bearing should be replaced when installing a new crankshaft or tuning cylinder.
In addition to standard sizes, we offer a extra wide 10mm bearing. On some cylinders, there is too much lateral play between the piston sides, causing the piston pin bearing to run unevenly. We also carry 13mm and 14mm versions for all Stage6-R/T or Malossi BigBore cylinder kits.

What is a Small end bearing?
The small end bearing or piston pin bearing is a needle bearing; the rolling elements used are cylindrically shaped needle rollers. It works similarly to all bearings, reducing friction and increasing the life of the crankshaft and the cylinder.
The small end bearing takes in the piston pin and reduces friction between the piston pin and connecting rod by distributing the load over a larger area.
The small end bearing plays a vital role in the reliability and longevity of the engine, so it is important to replace and lubricate it well each time you reassemble the engine.
