Quick-action throttle grips are very useful it takes a shorter stroke, and in turn reduced wrist rotation, to go from zero to wide open. This is pretty advantageous when on a racetrack, but is great for everyday riding, too, since these grips are easy on the wrists and make riding your bike a lot more comfortable.
