Kickstart for motorcycle and scooter

The kickstarter is a pedal on motorcycles, scooters and mopeds that is used to start the engine mechanically, i.e. by a "kick" that gives it its name. The crankshaft is accelerated to the speed required to start the engine by a powerful kick on the kickstart pedal.
