Stage6 cylinder kit Sport MK 2 70cc

Stage6 Cylinder Kit 70cc Sport MK2 Piaggio AC (Piaggio Typhoon / Stalker). The first generation Sport MK1 cylinders became very popular among scooter tuners, then Stage6 took things to the next level and introduced the successor, the Sport MKII.

For 50cc scooters with Piaggio AC engine such as Piaggio Typhoon / TPH or Gilera Stalker.

Design Stage6 MK2 cylinder

The cylinder was completely redesigned; 6 instead of 5 transfer ports ensure optimized cylinder filling. The oval exhaust remained but was optimized as well. The appearance is based on the pentagonal shape of the R/T cylinders. The head is a one-piece unit with cast scavenging canals for better heat dissipation. The piston is a replica of the R/T piston, with a domed piston crown and 0.8 mm thick piston ring to optimise performance and improve thermal stability.

Performance 70cc cylinder MK2 from Stage6

The cylinder delivers 2 to 3 hp more power than the MK1, between 14-17 hp, without any additional modifications and in combination with the corresponding components. Maximum performance and outstanding robustness - we are sure that this cylinder will set new standards in the tuning scene.

We recommend using a reinforced crankshaft, a min. 19mm carburetor and a sport / racing exhaust to exploit the full power of this tuning cylinder.

Installation tips for Stage6 cylinders

We recommend to clean the engine before assembly, check the condition of all components and use a new spark plug and new small end bearing. Do not forget to change your carburetor settings if necessary.

Squish clearance should be between 0.75 and 0.85. The cylinder should be run in for approx. 300 km with a 1:33 mixture to improve robustness and life expectancy.

Attention: Original exhausts cannot be mounted with this cylinder.

Stage6 Sport Pro

The Sport Pro series from Stage6 consists of various CVT components. The variator, clutch, V-belt and complete kit are designed for sport and racing setups.

Stage6 has revised shapes and materials to improve the performance of the CVT compared to the original and to adapt it to the performance increase after installing a sport cylinder.

How to Install a cylinder on a scooter, motorcycle or moped

The cylinder or cylinder kit is the heart of the engine on scooters, motorcycles and mopeds. It consists of a cylinder, a piston with piston ring(s), a cylinder head and gaskets needed for installation.

The service life of a cylinder depends on whether it has been fitted correctly.

Aluminium cylinders

Aluminium cylinders are more powerful than cast iron cylinders, but require more regular maintenance and must be combined with different components such as a reinforced crankshaft and a larger carburetor.

How to run in an aluminium cylinder?

Aluminium cylinders should be run in for about 200 kilometers , and you should use a fully synthetic engine oil.

Note: To ensure optimum performance and reliability, it is advisable to measure the squish clearance. Just have a look at our tutorial How to adjust squish clearance.

Fahre den zylinder jetzt auf meiner zip 2 schon über 4000 Kilometer mit 102er ultimate und castrol rs vollsynthetik Öl (sauber abgestimmt und eingefahren) im Alltag mal nur kurzstrecke mal aber auch volllack auf der Landstraße (mit 17,5er dellorto und sito plus)
Einwandfreies wheelie setup aber mit der multivar sind auch locker mal die 100 drin.
Bisher keinen spürbaren und optischer Verschleiß. sehr anzugstark untenrum so das an der Ampel beim anfahren schon mal das Vorderrad abhebt und obenrum zeigt er noch mal richtig was er kann.
Ich empfehle aber jedem zumindest eine mofo Racing Welle zu verbauen da das drehmoment so mancher ori Welle nicht gewachsen ist.

Wirklich Super!
Moin Tuner freunde! Der MK2 Sport Pro Zylinder ist wirklich ein super teil. Ich fahre den Zylinder auf meiner Zip SSL 25 und die schiebt wie sau. Derzeit Fahre ich den Zylinder auf Originaler Welle schon seit 5 Tausendkilometern und läuft immer noch wie am ersten Tag, den Zylinder fahre ich immer mit einem gemisch von 1,33. Auf einem 19er Dellorto mit 130HD und einem C16 als Auspuff. Ich würde den Zylinder wirklich weiter empfehlen und er bringt ein riesen spaß.
