Cylinder Kit Stage6 R/T 70cc FL
Description
Stage6 R/T FL 70cc Cylinder Kit for FL Crankcases
The next generation of the Stage6 R/T has arrived. Not just a simple successor, but the logical evolution of a true Stage6 legend: the Stage6 R/T FLR 70cc cylinder kit for Flange Mount (FL) tuning crankcases such as Malossi C-One, RC-One, 2Fast Passion, Polini P.R.E., or TPR Factory. The cylinder can be installed on scooters with Piaggio long / short LC as well as Minarelli LC engines.
The R/T Legend Returns
More than 15 years ago, the first Stage6 R/T cylinder set new benchmarks and became one of the most defining products in Stage6 history. Uncompromising performance, innovation, and top-tier quality made it the brand's flagship. Now the R/T is back – radically redesigned and ready for the next generation.
Six years of development, countless dyno runs, thousands of track miles, and several complete fresh starts were driven by a clear goal: maximum racing performance, a wide usable powerband, and uncompromising reliability under harsh racing conditions.
Not just a successor, but the next level of the R/T cylinder.
Stage6 FL 70cc Cylinder – 29 HP Maximum Performance
The Stage6 R/T FL 70cc cylinder kit features a 70cc displacement based on a 47.6 mm bore and 39.3 mm stroke combination.
Right out of the box, the kit delivers approx. 29 hp at 14,500 rpm (tested with a 28 mm carburetor) in combination with the Stage6 R/T FL 70 exhaust, Stage6 R/T inner rotor ignition, Stage6 R/T Oversize CVT kit, PWK 28 carburetor, Stage6 by V-Force reed valve, and tall gear ratio.
The priority was deliberately placed on a broad, usable powerband rather than sacrificing rideability for a peak figure. Thanks to this wide rpm band, the engine is significantly less sensitive to CVT tuning fluctuations, ensuring consistent performance during long races and high operating temperatures.
Unlike many standard racing cylinders, this cylinder delivers maximum racing performance straight out of the box, without requiring extensive prep work or additional porting: simply bolt it on, tune the engine, and hit the track. At the same time, Stage6 R/T engineers left sufficient material in the cylinder casting, giving experienced tuners plenty of room for custom modifications if desired.
Stage6 FL Tuning Cylinder – Combustion Chamber & Flange
To fully eliminate production-related port timing tolerances, every individual cylinder is precisely measured prior to shipping. Based on these measurements, the optimal combustion chamber insert is selected from three available heights: 2.3 mm, 2.5 mm, or 2.7 mm, ensuring fitment at the highest level.
The exhaust tract features extreme precision and maximum sealing: the 5-axis CNC-machined exhaust flange provides a smooth, flow-optimized transition from the oval exhaust port to the round header connection. Three O-rings (one facing the cylinder and two on the header connection) keep exhaust pressure fully sealed and reliably prevent fuel and oil residue leaks.

How to Install a cylinder on a scooter, motorcycle or moped
The cylinder or cylinder kit is the heart of the engine on scooters, motorcycles and mopeds. It consists of a cylinder, a piston with piston ring(s), a cylinder head and gaskets needed for installation.
The service life of a cylinder depends on whether it has been fitted correctly.

Tuning Level: High End racing
We categorize our products into different performance levels Original, Sport, Racing and High End , so that our customers can choose the right parts for their setup. It is really important to combine parts that belong to the same tuning level, this is especially true for cylinders, crankshafts and exhausts.
High End Racing products are exclusively designed for racing and should only be handled by tuning pros with the appropriate technical know-how. High-end racing parts often require modifications or machining of certain elements to accommodate the often larger components (larger crank webs, larger intake, etc.). Whether you stick with 50cc or increase the displacement, high-end racing parts offer much higher performance than the original parts and are the most powerful tuning parts.
Note: To ensure the reliability of the engine, it is important that the parts are compatible and that you do regular maintenance on your two-wheeler.
Aluminium cylinders
Aluminium cylinders are more powerful than cast iron cylinders, but require more regular maintenance and must be combined with different components such as a reinforced crankshaft and a larger carburetor.
How to run in an aluminium cylinder?
Aluminium cylinders should be run in for about 200 kilometers , and you should use a fully synthetic engine oil.
Note: To ensure optimum performance and reliability, it is advisable to measure the squish clearance. Just have a look at our tutorial How to adjust squish clearance.
