Stage6 cylinder kit Racing MK 2 70cc

Stage6 Cylinder Kit 70cc Racing MK2 Piaggio LC (Piaggio NRG / Runner etc.). The successor of the successful Stage6 70cc racing cylinder is called Stage6 Racing MKII 70cc and was completely redesigned for even better out of the box performance.

For 50cc scooters with Piaggio LC engine such as Piaggio NRG or Gilera Runner.

Cylinder Design Stage6 MK2 Racing

The cylinder with high-strength hard chrome bore plating was completely redesigned. A new transfer port design (6 instead of 5 ports) improves cylinder filling. The piston is no longer flat but domed, with a 0.8 mm thick piston ring to optimise performance and improve heat dissipation. Thermal properties were improved in all areas. Generous flushing of the bridged exhaust port; a pentagonal design and internal cooling ribs; one-piece head with cast scavenging canals – to name but a few of the improvements. Port timings are 190°-130°.

Performance Stage6 MK 2 Racing Zylinder

The cylinder yields 2 to 3 hp more power than the MK1, between 17-19 hp, without any additional modifications and in combination with the corresponding components. There is enough material for further modifications to get the cylinder above 20 hp. Definitely one of the most powerful 70cc kits on the market!

We recommend using a reinforced crankshaft, a min. 21mm carburetor and a racing exhaust to exploit the full power of this tuning cylinder.

Installation tips for Stage6 mk2 Racing cylinder Kit

We recommend to clean the engine before assembly, check the condition of all components and use a new spark plug and new small end bearing. Do not forget to change your carburetor settings if necessary.

Squish clearance should be between 0.75 and 0.85. The cylinder should be run in for approx. 300 km with a 1:33 mixture to improve robustness and life expectancy.

Attention:

- Original exhausts cannot be mounted with this cylinder.
- The temperature sensor (including thread) may not be longer than 18mm, otherwise it may knock against the cylinder head.

How to Install a cylinder on a scooter, motorcycle or moped

The cylinder or cylinder kit is the heart of the engine on scooters, motorcycles and mopeds. It consists of a cylinder, a piston with piston ring(s), a cylinder head and gaskets needed for installation.

The service life of a cylinder depends on whether it has been fitted correctly.

Tuning Level: Racing

Aluminium cylinders

Aluminium cylinders are more powerful than cast iron cylinders, but require more regular maintenance and must be combined with different components such as a reinforced crankshaft and a larger carburetor.

How to run in an aluminium cylinder?

Aluminium cylinders should be run in for about 200 kilometers , and you should use a fully synthetic engine oil.

Note: To ensure optimum performance and reliability, it is advisable to measure the squish clearance. Just have a look at our tutorial How to adjust squish clearance.

Really pleased with the cylinder kit. 98 octane as instructed and 33:1 oil, take it easy at first and it will last. After 50 hours very minimal piston ring wear

Sehr Altagstauglich ( bisher erst 100 km eingefahren, sehr untertourig, von ca. 6.500 Umdrehungen bis 7.500 mit ein Gemisch von 1:40 und Super Plus ).
Verarbeitunung ist Top, Leistung und Drehmoment ist Top, bin sehr zufrieden, mir Persönlich wären nur andere Kolbenbolzen clipser lieber!
Ansonsten Top Qualität und nicht Quantität, ich hab's nicht anders erwartet von Stage 6!
