CVT Motoforce RACING V.2, 5.5 / 6.0g - 15x12mm, Minarelli with 13mm crankshaft stub, new version.

Performance of Minarelli Racing Variator

The CVT from the Motoforce Racing series sets new standards in terms of price-performance ratio. The performance in the entire speed range, acceleration and shifting behavior are significantly improved. Workmanship and material quality are top, the life expectancy is accordingly high.

The variator is supplied with two 15x12mm weight sets (5.5g and 6.0g) and thus provides a good basis for adjustment to the rest of the setup of your scooter.

scooter CVT

Modern scooters are equipped with a continuously variable transmission, the so-called CVT, also called variator.

CVT Parts:

  • Front pulley, movable. It contains the variator weights and has a special shape with an inclined surface to allow the V-belt to move freely up and down.
  • Ramp plate: Holds the weights in place.
  • Variator sleeve: Serves as a bearing for the variator, which moves axially back and forth, i.e., opens and closes.
  • CVT roller weights: Adjustment weights that play a critical role in function and performance.

original, Sport and Oversize CVTs

  • Original: Original or OEM quality CVTs are equipped with a restrictor to limit the speed to 45km/h. There are riders who remove the restrictor to derestrict their scooter and unleash the full performance without restrictions.
  • Sport: Sport CVTs are lighter than the original and are characterized by special angles and a special coating, which increases the top speed, but especially acceleration.
  • Oversize: Based on the same principle as the Sport CVT, but has larger dimensions. With an oversize / overrange vario, the performance of the scooter can be increased even further.

You should also always replace the V-belt when replacing the CVT or go for a complete CVT kit.

It works well.
I installed varitior but the 5.5 rollers are too heavy. Also 4.5 was to heavy. If your having problems with it bogging down then you need to use 3.5 g rollers with the standerd conta sping.. and shims
Now it works really well.
My setup.
Normal 50cc
Sport exhaust
17.5 mm carb with 75mm main jet

gut für 50 ccm
an sich nicht schlecht für Orginal oder 50er Sport,aber man sollte bei 70 ccm eine andere Vario einplanen,da die Übersetzung nicht mehr passt,
ich würde Heute immer was anderes nehmen aber man kann nix schlechtes sagen wenn man bei 50 ccm ein bisschen mehr Anzug haben will.

Gute Vario
An sich eine gute Vario, leider passt die Verzahnung durch die schwarze Beschichtung nicht optimal auf die Welle.
Wollte nicht nacharbeiten und hab die Originale genommen.
Vario zeiht gut durch und bringt leider auch mehr Endspeed, wollte eigentlich nur noch weiter den Ab und Durchzug verbessern.
Aber ok geht er halt schneller und ich kann mal mit weniger Umdrehungen fahren.
Mein Setup:
Gaser: PHVA 17,5, HD84
AGA: STAGE6 PRO REPLICA MK2 SCHWARZ MINARELLI LIEGEND
Gewichte: 4,5g
Zieht auf Tacho 82 voll durch und lässt auch am Berg nicht nach, mit Originalvario ist bei 75 Ende.
Finde auch die Serienvario zieht anfangs schneller ab, diese baut aber im Gesamten besser Speed auf und lässt die Bude ruhiger laufen.
