Description
Racing crankshaft AM6 44mm stroke
Long-stroke crankshaft for Minarelli AM6 - high-compression racing crankshaft with 44mm stroke at a very fair price.
Racing crankshaft from Motoforce Racing
Long-stroke crankshafts increase effective volume and displacement, and the modified geometry allows more fresh gas into the engine. This leads to more power and a more balanced RPM range - more torque at low revs without sacrificing the high RPM range.
The reinforced full-circle crankshaft made of hardened steel is supplied with a reinforced 12x17x15mm small end bearing (original is 12x15x15mm). The crank pin is also reinforced with a diameter of 18mm (instead of 16mm).
Installation of the Motoforce Racing long-stroke crankshaft
The cylinder must match the stroke extension, otherwise the piston position and timing will no longer be correct!
This crankshaft can be installed in two ways:
- with a cylinder designed specifically for a 44mm stroke and the original connecting rod length (85mm)
- or with a standard stroke cylinder that you want to convert to a 44mm stroke
In the second case, you must place a 2mm spacer under the cylinder to compensate for the longer stroke.
It is suitable for 50cc and 70cc Sport / Racing setups. It is especially recommended for Big Bore cylinders, as the longer stroke balances the non-ideal bore-stroke ratio. Speeds up to 13,000 rpm are no problem.
We recommend using new bearings, which are sold separately.
If this crankshaft does not fit your engine setup, you will find a wide selection of crankshafts for AM6 in our shop.

How to change a crankshaft?
The crankshaft is one of the main components of the engine and is responsible for the smooth operation of motorcycle, scooter and moped, whether with two-stroke or four-stroke engine. The longevity of the engine depends not only on the proper condition of the crankshaft, but also on the fact that it is properly mounted.
For a correct installation of the crankshaft, we recommend our tutorial: Crankshaft disassembly and assembly.
How can I tell if my crankshaft is Damaged?
A broken crankshaft causes metallic noises, unusual vibrations, leaking oil seals and drastically reduces the performance of the two-wheeler. In any case, the vehicle must be stopped immediately to prevent the damage from getting worse.
Please note that whenever the crankshaft is changed and serviced, you'll have to install new crankshaft bearings.
Tuning Level: Racing
We categorize our products into different performance levels Original, Sport, Racing and High End , so that our customers can choose the right parts for their setup. It is really important to combine parts that belong to the same tuning level, this is especially true for cylinders, crankshafts and exhausts.
Racing products are designed for a more extreme uses and are developed primarily for racing. Whether you stay at 50cc or increase the displacement, the corresponding Racing parts produce much higher performance than the original parts in order to achieve maximum power.
