This kit with a reinforced clutch basket for Minarelli AM series engines (AM3, AM4, AM5, and AM6) optimizes power delivery, especially on high-displacement racing engines.
Design and Advantages of the One-Piece TPR Steel Clutch Basket
The one-piece clutch basket is CNC-machined from chrome-nickel alloy steel (CrNi). Thanks to the large cutouts, it matches the weight of the original aluminum component while offering significantly higher wear resistance, standing up better to high temperatures and heavy torque.
The drive ratio is 19x69 teeth, corresponding to a gear ratio of 3.63:1. This makes it roughly 2.3% shorter than the stock 20x71 tooth gearing, reducing RPM and increasing torque between the crankshaft and clutch.
Straight-cut gearing and a specialized tooth profile minimize friction between mechanical parts, ensuring smooth operation and optimal power transmission.

Scooter gearbox
The transmission of scooters and some mopeds is located in a case behind the clutch and torque driver and has the function of reducing rpm and ultimately driving the wheel axle.
The transmission of a scooter has a direct influence on top speed. If the engine develops enough power and torque at low rpm, you can choose a longer gear ratio to achieve a higher top speed without any noticeable loss in acceleration.
Please note: if you don't have a press, better choose pre-assembled gears!
