Whenever you increase performance, the original carburetor should be replaced with a larger one in order to optimally support the new setup and achieve better acceleration and higher top speed.

This carburetor is specifically designed for Minarelli engines, as the water (carburetor preheating) and oil connections are located on the left side.

Universal carburetor 17.5

The PHVA is the most popular carburetor for entry-level tuning. It fits many models and vehicle types such as mopeds (requires the use of a rubber flange) or 50cc supermotos. If your bike does not have an automatic choke, you can supplement the 17.5 carburetor with a PHVA cable choke adapter or opt for a manual lever choke.

Note: The throttle cable elbow is equipped with an external thread and can only be used with cables that have a crimped adjusting nut on the carburetor side.

Adjusting the 17.5 STage6 carburetor

The main jet is size 80 and the pilot jet is size 38. Normally, there is no need to change these as the carburetor runs very smoothly ex works. You can, of course, order additional carburetor jets (6mm) in order to adjust the carburetor setting optimally to the setup.

Note: To check whether the carburetor is set correctly, you should check the spark plug to prevent damage to the engine. The best way to do this is to watch our tutorial .
