Description
STR8 velocity stack
Intake trumpets / bellmouths optimize the airflow to the carburetor, which noticeably improves the power and RPM range. That’s why they are commonly used in sprint racing. The funnel can be used fully open or with the included insert to filter the airflow.
Connections for racing intake funnel:
- Connection 35mm, for Dell'Orto / Arreche 17.5 - 21mm
- Connection 42mm, for Stage6 / Mikuni TM24
- Connection 50mm, for PWK / VHST
what are the benefits of open air filters?
Pod air filters are installed in place of the original air filter box of scooters, motorcycles or even mopeds to increase the air flow and thus improve performance and cooling of the engine.
However, using an open pod filter can make the vehicle louder, leads to slightly worse fuel economy, and it is possible that water gets into the engine during heavy rain. But what the heck - open air filters just sound great!
Just as with original air filter inserts, it is important to clean the air filter regularly with air filter cleaner.
Note: When installing an open sport air filter, the carburetor must be readjusted, i.e. in most cases the jet has to be changed.
