MBK 51 Swing
MBK, formerly Motobécane (before the takeover by Yamaha), produced their top model, the MBK 51, from 1978 onwards. The MBK 51 moped was so popular that it was produced until 2003, despite the scooter and supermoto boom in the 1990s.
To keep production alive for 25 years, MBK naturally had to keep bringing out new models and offered a variety of versions of the MBK 51 to cater to different customer groups.
The Swing was introduced in 1988 and remained part of the MBK catalog until 1999. It is a fairly simple model (air-cooled, bicycle saddle), but is no longer started with pedals but with a kickstarter.
