The clutch is robust and solid, with 3 large, heat-resistant shoes for extra good grip. By fitting harder springs, you can influence clutch engagement to improve pull and take-offs. Due to the changed engagement point, the engine can rev up to a slightly higher rpm before the the clutch engages and connects to the transmission. This is particularly noticeable when starting uphill and at traffic lights, and when driving with a passenger.
