DetailsWe offer the Stage6 R/T (RACING TEAM) crankshaft with forged 90cc conrod specifically for special engine conversions. Although crankshafts with 85mm conrods are optimal for most scooter engines, some circumstances can make it possible to increase power with a 90mm conrod. This does NOT mean the bigger, the better - the components used in the engine, such as cylinder, exhaust and carburettor, as well as the port timing etc. are essential in deciding whether to use the longer conrod. This is an absolute high-end product that should only be handled by an experienced mechanic and can even lead to power loss when installed incorrectly or with the wrong components. Team Cristofolini for example uses the 90mm crankshaft in its 80cc TCR Piaggio engines, while they still equip their Minarelli engines with an 85mm crankshaft. For a hassle-free installation, we of course also have a fitting 10mm spacer kit available from Stage6.
Attention: Crankshaft with 90mm conrod!!!
